Maomao starts to crawl. If you place an object right out of his touch, he will tap his left foot a few time as if pondering on the situation, and pull himself up and lean forward to reach for it. But if it’s more than a few feet away he’ll just ignore it. He always reach with his right hand, not a lefty like me. I sent a video of him crawling toward a ball and Mom called half an hour later saying Dad has been watching it over and over again with mounting merriment and satisfaction. Maomao flipped himself over on the bed when he was two and half month old, grabbed the bowl and drank water from it when Dongdong tried to feed him with a spoon last month, and started yapping a lot last week. But this might be the first time he consciously strives at a goal, and attain it. No wonder Dad is so proud of him.

Maomao fell out of bed today, gave us quite a scare. It’s 9am, when Dongdong got up he was still sleeping. I was sitting in front of computer. Five minutes later I heard this dull thudding sound and then instantly Maomao’s crying. I rushed in and he was lying on the floor face down, bawling. Can’t described how sorry I was seeing that. He cried about a minute then stopped, didn’t seem he was hurt but we took him to the hospital. Not surprisingly the doctor was rather nonchalant about it. Ran some fake test and sent us home. He seemed ok all day, as a matter of fact quite cheerful when he took his bath at night. I shot a video and sent to Mom and Dad so they wouldn’t worry. But Mom still said the next day she didn’t sleep at all that night. It would be unimaginable if he fell and hit the back of his head on the floor.
